Yasco Horsman is associate professor of Film and Literary Studies at Leiden University. He completed his degree in Comparative Literature at Yale University and 2004, and taught at various institutions in the USA (including NYU's Film School, Columbia University, Tulane University). He published on the relations between literature, psychoanalysis and law (Theaters of Justice (Stanford University Press 2011)), cinema, animation and the graphic novel. He is currently working on a book length project on the modernist radio play, entitled 'Radio Theory: Brecht, Beckett, Artaud, McLuhan'.
